Timbro policies
Merchant Terms
Terms for Timbro Invoicing, with its Starter, Business, and Enterprise plans, and for Timbro Payments.
Who provides the service
INDEXA SRL, an electronic-invoicing service provider authorized by DGII, provides the Timbro service, bills you for the Timbro Invoicing plans and the Timbro Payments fee, and issues an electronic invoice for every amount it bills you.
Plans and prices
From January 1, 2027, Timbro offers three plans per RNC. Starter costs RD$0 per month, includes 500 invoices, and each extra invoice costs RD$0.75. Business costs RD$1,790 per month, includes 10,000 invoices, and each extra invoice costs RD$0.14. Enterprise costs from RD$9,990 per month, includes 100,000 invoices, and each extra invoice costs RD$0.10; its service agreements, support, and other terms are set by contract. Every amount charged carries ITBIS.
Timbro Payments
From January 1, 2027, Timbro Payments costs 0.4% of the total amount of each charge, plus ITBIS. Until then, the 2026 campaign applies. If you refund a charge within the same calendar month in which you collected it, Timbro deducts that charge's fee from your monthly bill; a refund in a later month does not. A deposit you release without collecting pays no fee. This fee is separate from your Azul, CardNet, or Portal merchant account commission. Timbro does not change that commission, which is governed by your contract with your acquirer. Split payments, card holds for deposits, and fast checkout carry no additional charge.
Who can use Starter and Business
Starter and Business are available to businesses under the Simplified Tax Regime (RST) and micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MIPYMEs). DGII information guides the recommended plan. A large taxpayer, national or local, has Enterprise by default; a lower plan requires Timbro review and approval. You can choose among eligible plans. Missing or conflicting facts require review before confirming classification. If DGII reclassifies a MIPYME as a large taxpayer, Timbro gives at least 60 calendar days' notice before charging Enterprise, with no retroactive charges.
How each month is calculated
For an RST business or an SME without an Enterprise agreement, at the end of each calendar month, Timbro calculates what the month's invoices would cost on each plan and charges the lowest. The usage rate can move up or down with actual monthly volume; it does not change the selected plan’s service commitments. Reaching the Enterprise rate through volume does not add an SLA or reserved capacity. You accept this rule when you activate your account.
What counts as an invoice
Each production electronic fiscal invoice counts once, when DGII accepts or conditionally accepts it. Credit and debit notes count. Rejections, resends, printed representations, deliveries, tests, and invoices you receive do not count.
2026 campaign
Through December 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., Dominican Republic time, standard issuance has no subscription or issuance charges for any business category, including existing active accounts. Digital certificates, third-party services, custom work, and contracted Enterprise commitments are excluded. During the same period, Timbro Payments charges no fee. Activating later does not extend the date. In December, we tell you your 2027 plan and estimated cost; accounts activated later receive this information during activation. The 2026 campaign terms detail the scope.
Notices
We notify you by email and in your dashboard when you use 80%, 90%, and 95% of your included invoices, when extra-invoice charges start, and when the month moves to another plan. Before the first charge, we tell you the date and ask you to confirm a payment method.
No interruptions for volume
Timbro never stops or limits your invoicing because you exceed the invoices included in a plan. During periods of high demand, issuance times may vary. Some functions depend on external services and may be affected by their availability.
How we bill you
Rates apply from January 1, 2027. Timbro charges each month in arrears: January is billed in February, without retroactive charges for 2026. Before the first charge, an authorized person confirms the payment method. You can cancel before the paid period begins. If a payment remains outstanding, we notify you in writing before taking any action, and if the contract ends, you have at least 30 days to migrate. Your invoices, statuses, and exports remain available.
Price changes
Timbro announces any change to these prices at least 30 days in advance. You can cancel before the change applies.
When Enterprise applies
Enterprise is the default plan for large taxpayers, unless a review approves otherwise, and can be contracted by any company that needs reserved capacity, service commitments, custom integrations, several RNCs under one agreement, or Timbro Local. It is never required of a MIPYME because of volume.
Timbro Local
Timbro Local is implemented in merchant-controlled infrastructure under an Enterprise agreement. Its price and scope are set in a proposal that defines the businesses, RNCs, locations, integrations, installation, support, updates, applicable taxes, third-party services, and any additional or recurring charges. No chargeable work begins without your express acceptance.
Optional services
A business may separately purchase guided setup, configuration, custom integrations, or other features. The digital certificate and third-party services are not part of the plan prices. Timbro states the scope and price and obtains the business's authorization before starting any chargeable work.
Fiscal responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your data, authorizations, sequences, and certificates current and for meeting your fiscal and retention obligations. Timbro provides the platform and processes the information needed for the service under these terms.
Certificate and signing
The P12 file and its password are treated as confidential credentials with restricted access and are used only for authorized signatures. Never send them by email, chat, or contact forms. Enterprise can include signing in your infrastructure when stated in the order. With Local, signing operates in the environment named for the installation.
Information and analytics
Timbro may use usage and operational information to maintain and improve the service. It may also produce aggregated or disassociated statistics and indicators that prevent the reasonable identification of people, businesses, and transactions. We do not sell personal data or identifiable business information.
Customer-data obligations
You decide what information you submit and must provide the applicable notices and permissions. Timbro uses that information to provide, protect, and improve the platform as permitted by law.
Enterprise and service levels
Enterprise terms are defined by contract and include capacity, continuity, support, responsibilities, and agreed service levels. These commitments apply when they appear in the signed order.
Local support and updates
The Local proposal defines supported versions, updates, support hours, and the responsibilities of Timbro and the business. Service commitments apply only when they appear in the signed order.
Suspension, exit, and changes
Timbro may temporarily restrict functions affected by a security risk, fraud, material breach, legal requirement, loss of fiscal authorization, or certificate compromise. Access, statuses, and exports remain available unless a strictly necessary security or legal measure prevents them. Material changes are communicated before they take effect.
